Applying for graduate accountancy schemes is one of the most tedious, time consuming and frustrating things ever.

Each application seems to take an hour and a half and ive had about 4 reject me already, with one rejecting me as soon as I completed the application...

I am willing. I started off so motivated with them all and I still am to a certain extent, but after doing lots and getting rejection from many while also having a huge workload at uni it easily takes its toll and makes it harder.

I've just been passed over at work for my manager's position (he left 3 weeks ago). My replacement has little experience in social, but a lot of generic marketing experience.

Devastated and furious are tough when they come together.

I'm trying to download the BBC election: Part 1 from i-player using get_iplayer but as it's over 9 hours long it just won't complete the download. Any tips?

I'm on holiday (which is not annoying me, in fact it's being nice and relaxing) however since yesterday afternoon my right hip and lower right shin on the right had side have been hurting, now this has been my first lazy holiday in years but I'm wondering if the lack of walking very far is anything to do with this? I usually walk about 1hr-1hr30 every day so perhaps this is an effect of a lack of walking?

Either way it's a slight annoyance that is spoiling an otherwise very enjoyable holiday.

I normally do on holiday but the bit we're in is really out in the sticks on a busy road with not much pavement, still walked for about 1hr 20mins which did me some good :)

Unfortunately everything has changed in the last two hours, I missed the last step of a marble staircase in the hotel and have just returned in a bandage round my left ankle, the Doctor said I have to rest for the remaining days.

I have twisted my ankle, have to take painkillers and put ice on it once an hour, hurrah :(

Thanks currently have an ice pack on it, Greek TV is shite so thank God I have some good TV downloaded on my tablet.

That's crappy sounds a bit like my firm, if youre one of the better ones they end up been more akward with you than the lesser ones the buggers.

I misjudged the bugger, I wasn't looking properlly where I was going had a glance down and thought "oh only one more step to go", instead there was two I put my left leg forward ready to walk and instead when straight down and twisted it upon landing.

Anyone who has been to Greece will know it's full of stairs even between bloody rooms, the pavements are rubbish too, on the road we're on at least 6 mini manhole covers are missing on the pavements!

Luckily it wasn't broken as I wouldn't be coming home Saturday. But we need to get a letter from a Doctor so I can fly home without any objections.

I've got to keep my xray which is rather unusual, some momento from the holiday at least I suppose

And thanks also Duck :)

Remember when I said "go for a walk"? I now retract this advice.

Feel better soon J-Dawg. I have a proper phobia of anything related to twisted / broken ankles.

Thanks Foots, that did make me laugh

Yeah the odd thing is my left ankle often buckles for some reason and has done for many years, twice I have nearly fallen down these stairs, third times a charm eh?

My sympathies - I hate anything to do with ankles or wrists, the pain is so sharp. My parotid glands (just below my ears) have swollen due to God knows what (so many things wrong with me at the moment) and my face is 2" wider than it should be. I look like a hamster. Also I went to a new hairdresser who didn't know how to cut wavy hair and seemingly thought 1" was 3" so I look an absolute mess.
