it's this kind of gash i can't stand - and what i'll hope to provide a 'solution' to (theoretical solution) to include in my book when applying for ad-jobs.
1 status update a day, unless something actually really interesting happens (winning something, meeting someone famous, or injury)
and with regards to current events : make the update unique, or there will be a million others saying exactly the same thing
also : edit the things which come up on your profile every now and again! if you write on 4 people's walls there's this endless stream of "XXXXX wrote on YYYYY's wall" and joining groups etc.
bleh. MANY pet hates.
ALSO! unless you and your partner rarely talk/see each other, purvey ANY messages of affection you have through private media.

I very rarely go on Facebook these days, everyone wants you to join a group, add a game, etc. it was just better a couple of years back.
