I was thinking that but she off on maternity soon as well, and they'll probably get a 1Xtra presenter to cover as normal.

Yeah true, shame that Chappers left because I imagine Chappers & Dave would have filled in for her rather than someone from 1xtra

Someone in the office brought in a ton of cup cakes and chocolate fridge cake and lemon drizzle cake today. I suppose I will feel good about myself later for not having any, but the chocolate fridge cake looked soooooo good........

Transport police refused to let me on the train because I said "* sake" when they told me to pick up my ticket that I'd dropped!

If you dropped it by mistake, as I assume you did, then you should be grateful they drew your attention to it. If you dropped it on purpose then why? What's wrong with sticking it in the bin? Aside from the whole "littering is bad" carry on, if you do it in front of the police then what do you expect them to say?

And why did you swear at them?

To be fair, I annoyed myself with what I said earlier. Littering is bad, but it's not the end of the world. I sounded like a self righteous pretentious bastard there.

Transport police bastards.

I can't understand why anyone would ever think its ok to just chuck your crap on the ground. How the hell did Elmo - or anyone else - grow up thinking otherwise? Filthy bastards!

Banks. Yes, again. It would be nice if they'd move into the 20th century. At least that way they might only be 10 years or so behind the rest of us.

I did say "might". They're not annoying me as much today as things seem to have progressed. I did watch them have to fill in a PILE of paperwork to do one thing for me mind you. They were the ones complaining about how there has to be an easier way to do this. That actually made me laugh.

I heard Simon Mayo saying about his bank the other week - he went in to set up a standing order and they told him he'd have to ring up and when he said "but I'm here!", they apparently told him "there's a phone over there."

I'm stuck on the public desk all day even though the work I need to do can only be done on my office computer. I'm also missing coffee.

Argh, I hate reception duty. Luckily it hasn't been forced on me in a while but I feel your pain.
