It does depend on what the doctor's line says. I heard of someone that got the sack for taking time off and then bringing in a doctor's line that had some long winded latin phrase that basically translated into period pains. The employer pointed out this would entitle them to one week off in four, which they couldn't grant (and if they did it would be sexual discrimination).

I think there was a bit more to it which saw them get the sack, but that was gist of how the disciplinary hearing started.

Round here those jobs tend to be reserved for care in the community types.... unless you are a care in the community type.

I'm nearly skint. :(

Being abroad and that little island being hoorin' expensive means I am now nearly skint. Back to work before I head off again I think. Hot damn.

Annoying me - recording the breakfast show this morning only to find Chris is off for another week. Fail.

Snow is not the problem, people who can't drive in the snow are the problem.

There's something quite amusing about seeing a taxi driver who has managed to wedge his car over a crash barrier (front wheels one side, back wheels the other) while you drive along the M8 heading for Edinburgh. Especially when you're only out to go to a football match. Only make important journeys... nah, I can actually drive.

OK, now annoying me is that new Franz Ferdinand song. It's * terrible. They're * terrible. Why do people still buy their records?! It's impossible to like them! And I met the singer and he was a dick.

I. Hate. Franz. Ferdinand.

Good luck for later in the week then - and with all the other stuff you were worried about.

Double glazing in my bedroom, the handle decided to break, just 4 months outside the 10 year warranty :x

I can get the part (it's not that dear) but I hope it's not too difficult to replace.

Make yourself useful. You could visit all the sick members on here, mop their brows and peel grapes for them. Only provided you are qualified for this, mind you. I'm ill and in Leeds. The soggy tissues could do with clearing up and I think my bed pan might need emptying soon too.;)

I'm wearing three * jumpers and am still not warm

I am scared to go out of my bedroom because of the grand scale arguments that keep occurring between my brother and my mum's bloke- and I don't want to be caught in the crossfire

I hae just got a new sat nav...but i've never traveled further than 20 miles for soggy tissue. Sponge bath would be the deal breaker.

I'd much rather it be mild and rain than have snow that doesn't settle and gets compacted and is difficult to walk on but just looks shit.

Anyway, Cornwall is a really nice place, stop moaning.
