Freemasonry is the world's oldest and largest Fraternity. Although Masonry, particularly in its earliest days, had some elements of secrecy, the first 'exposure' of the supposedly highly-secret Masonic ritual actually appeared in 1696!

That exposure marked the beginning of (now) more than 300 years of objections to the organization. These objections can be generally grouped into three categories:

The Masons are basically like some kids secret society kinda thing, but with older men who really should know better! You have to be invited in & they all look out for each other & so on.

He 'politely declined' on his radio show, and I was just wondering what it was all about. It got mentioned on Merseybeat a couple of weeks ago aswell, and everything I've seen seems to be taking the p*ss out of them, nobody seems to like them much.

that's not irony. if i worked in a chocolate factory but choked on a chocolate bar and died, that would be ironic. irony implies coincidence. there is no coincidence in what i did, it was just seeing what he said, and doing it, that is the opposite of coincidence, it is one action leading to another. maybe it wasnt very funny, a lot of jokes aren't funny, but that wasn't irony.
