Not at all. That's not the issue and different scenario to what's happened here. You made intentions on the eBay thread quite early on and Chris justified the reasons for the removal (which you were entitled to question as it's a forum rule not to post ads). Removing a post for no justified reason and having not made any communication beforehand with badger is just bad practise IMHO. You clearly know that badger is a sneaky badger.
