That sounds like my sort of viewing pattern. I sat through weeks of 2 Broke Girls entirely for the dark haired one's cleavage.

I meant it's a localised * up as opposed to an institutionalised one across FIFA & international football (although I see how my post could have been read as a slur aganist the Polish)

No that's not what I meant - I was having a moan about international football being a joke in general, you came back with "well the English FA tried to sort it out" as though because the English FA said the right thing, there shouldn't be an expectation on the Polish FA to have used their brains in the first place.

I don't usually watch cooking programmes for that reason, no. As I said just before, recipes can be adapted, but replacing eggs is not like throwing in tofu instead of beef - it's a tricky change to make if you don't want your cake to either deflate or explode. I'm not an experienced cook really, so not good enough to know how to do that stuff myself.

I'm really getting in to cooking recently, I bought a Korean cookbook after trying Korean food in London last month, can't believe there isn't more of it about, it was delicious!

Here is an answer for you. This is the closest to a neutral source you'll get, ie not from PETA or a similar organisation.

I found this: http://www.vegetus.org/honey/honey.htm

I guess that the farming of bees/honey constitutes exploitation of animals.

edit. Nic's already posted this. Oops. Here's a picture of a virtual cow being milked to give this post some unique content:

Haha, cross-posted there :) and you are correct. As I think I've said before, I don't lie awake at night worrying about the bees, but if you're gonna do something, you do it properly.

Your link makes the argument that I am right. Just keep your own chickens and keep them happy.

Animals are on this earth for the benefit of humans. We are the top of the food chain animals provide us with clothing and food in order to live. Eventually something bigger and better than humans will come along and then we will be the hunted.
Every vegan I've come into contact with has been very opinionated about it and pushy. I won't be told what I can/can't eat nor will I be told that testing on animals is wrong. It's absolutely right to test on animals if it provides humans with medical benefits. I'm not saying all vegans are like that, just the ones I know of.

Not that I'd want to participate in! It's a pointless debate cos you won't change people's minds, and I wouldn't want to either. That's not a good reason to become veg*n.

There are two vegans I know who are in a lesbian relationship. They insist on making people really uncomfortable about what they eat/wear. One of them I work with and quite often will leave leaflets around the staff room about changing your life and becoming a vegan and PETA. Like I said I'm sure most vegans are normal people, I've probably just been unlucky with the ones I know.

I got into a debate with my best friend over vegetarianism once (she was on the veggie side). Never again. The problem with debates like that is that both sides have sound logic, so it's useless to argue really.

There's nothing natural about humans adopting a vegan diet - but that doesn't really matter does it? Thankfully these days people can make all sorts of choices like that which under different circumstances might easily kill them, and be safe. So if it suits them, and helps them reconcile whatever the principles behind it for them are, well, why not. Daft as, but why not.

Good point! You're assuming the act involves swallowing. 8O

Yeah, I would never do that. I literally could not care any less than I do right now about what any of you eat. I only care about my own food and my own conscience.

If you're asking if I swallow, it's a yes. I'm gonna go with my instincts here and say the other person involved is not hurt, traumatised or in any way denied their rights by the process. On the contrary, they usually seem to like it.
