I never got that message last night but it is'nt looking good going by that.

[bmstinton93]

Ah don't worry too much. I've had that message a number of times before. I've set them again so should hopefully have worked by the morning.

[slaphead1982]

Here's hopeing. I'm going to try thoses July shows again tonight and see if I waste yet another hour of uploading only for nothing to happen.

[bmstinton93]

Your lucky you can even get them done in an hour. I used to be able to when at uni but now at home I struggle to get 4 shows uploaded in an hour.

[slaphead1982]

Let a bit of time (Well a day away due to being at work) reign supreme.
You are now as up to date as I am when it comes to complete edited months.

Turns out the July shows did go on internet archive, they just took forever to show up.

[ianpwilliams]

Great stuff! This archive is growing so fast now. I'd be getting more of Jamie's done if it weren't for the Euros And yeah, that happens a lot with IA; a failure message and then a few hours later they are up there

Someone might wanna compare the editing of this last one against the unedited show. This show is much shorter than the others. I'm worried I may have done something stupid while editing...

They've shortened the iPlayer capture again now, so the Moyles show cut's out at 10am on the dot. Which means I have to do a fade out and a fade in (I can't be bothered finding the exact crossover point and doing a crossfade ).

Not sure how I can compare them really...not without editing it myself and comparing edits

[bmstinton93]

Hmmm yeah I suppose. I think it's fine anyway just concerning that it seems to be like 20 minutes shorter than all the rest.

How lazy of you. I mean you edit the current shows everyday and edit other shows aswell and have a life outside of the internet world and you think you can't do that aswell. Oh the shame.

[ianpwilliams]

Maybe they just played more records than usual

[ianpwilliams]

Oh the shame.

Yeah I know, I'll hang my head in shame

[bmstinton93]

Maybe they just played more records than usual

That's the theory I'm going with...

[DarroM]

Has anyone else's download speed when downloading the shows from IA pretty slow compared to normal? Like my speed is 70+ mb and yet for some reason I am not even getting a 1mb download/sec let alone the standard rate at that speed. It isn't my connection since I did a speed test and other files I've downloaded are fine.

[ianpwilliams]

It was fine for me when I downloaded Ben's latest shows.

[DarroM]

It is strange since it downloads one show fine for me at my rate then I go onto the next one and the speed is only in the kb range then! Still doesn't take forever though but just find it peculiar! Listened to a few more 2005 shows at work last night! BB Aled stuff was pretty funny with Jackie Stallone and John McCririck! (sp?)

[ianpwilliams]

Try the Firefox extension Down Them All:

http://www.downthemall.net/

Maybe that'll give you a consistent download speed. I actually have to limit my download speed because of my old computer, and Down Them All lets me do that.

[a-moron]

I read that as Down The Mall, was slightly disappointed it wasn't shopping tips and where I could use my discount vouchers.

[ianpwilliams]

Yeah me too

Might as well post this here as well:

Moyles and Vitty Euro 2012 Sweden v England Alternative Commentary

[Dexy]

Any chance of uploading the video too?

[bmstinton93]

Try the thread about it.
