Got my top 2 taken out but I wasn't registered with any dental practice so had to pay for private treatment at a local dentistry. Cost me about £40 and it was just a case of - open wide, injection in mouth, knee on chest, crunchy-crunchy, out they pop.

If I mention my painkillers he gets his out and starts comparing the strength, if I mention my hip he starts talking about his sister who has something wrong with hers. Once somebody mentioned tattoos when I was out the room, I came back in and somebody said something like "but of course I don't have as many as Nicola" and then before I could even open my mouth he started a run-down of all his wife's tattoos, what they are and where they are. I didn't even attempt to get in the conversation, my eighteen tattoos clearly couldn't compare with his wife's four! He drives me crazy.

Try engaging the chap in conversation some times, when you don't like someone you don't ask them how they are, what they think etc, and he is over compensating by recalling stories of his own experiences to just try and engage with you all. In time he will then relax.

That or what I do if that fails is start singing busted "It's all about you" whenever they speak, I tell you it drives my wife nuts, and really upsets her, but it does make her stop and think, and I don't do it that often anymore.

This kind of behaviour is symptomatic of low self esteem, depression or being a twat.

Sorry, you are of cource correct. Honestly try it next time, even if you just hum it when he annoys you by talking, the best thing then is when they start humming it back to you, that will make you laugh and then you won't feel so mad at this fella.

It's funny really as I have been through this a long time ago, I was depressed and all angry about things, in a crap marraige, and had no life, so in social situations the only thing I correct converse about was "my wife etc" I hated it, but still did it. The truth of the matter was I was living vocariously ( not sure on that word) through my wife, and when she left me it dawned on me that I didn't have a life, 16 years on......well I am here arn't I !

Can I just ask, as I don't understand: Blackberry is a manufacturer of phones - albeit with some software (BBM, etc). The fact that people are unable to get their email or internet access on Blackberries - services which traditionally point to a fault with your network provider - tends to indicate that ALL your data goes through Blackberry's servers - correct? If so is this not a trifle worrying in itself?

Why do you need BBM anyway? Can't you just text them? If you have a blackberry its likely to be on contract anyway which will give you most likely unlimited texts.

I can still call and text which is fine, and I don't tend to use BBM. But my internet won't work, not even when I'm on my Wifi, and I use Whatsapp a lot so that's the main thing I'm missing.

So there again - that suggests all of your data, whether you're connected to your wifi (which I originally wrote as wife, ha!) or your network provider, this suggests that your ENTIRE DATA is going through Blackberry's servers.
