Been to the docs this morning about my back, they've referred me for physio. I was hoping for a faceful of drugs to fix it, but as always with me, it's not that simple. *sigh*

Don't panic,i had a back problem & i went to a referred physio who gave me exercises,(which inevitably i don't do) but also one wee exercise which takes about 10 to 15 seconds which is meant to ease pain if it flares up or i get a spasm, & damn me if the bugger doesn't work brilliantly.
The physio told me within minutes - after about 10 years of of intermittent back pain & visiting doctors who just gave me pain killers for it ( & not the good ones either) - that i had a slight curvature of the lower spine & one leg slightly shorter than the other, both of which was putting pressure on the sciatic nerve. None of this was visably apparent , though does make me seem like the Elephant Man, & will inevitably get worse as i get older, but with regualr exercise ( errr...umm... 8O ) & not putting undue pressure on my spine, which i actually do do nowadays, i should get by okay.

So the physio helped where years of disinterested GPs didn't.

Shame about the drugs though. :(

I was born with congenital hip dysplasia, so I already have osteoarthritis in my hip, very little bend in my knee and a slight difference in leg length. So if you're the elephant man, I dread to think what that would make me! So I do pretty much know the cause of the back pain - I was being naive in hoping for a quick fix for it.

The other things are letting myself get screwed up about food and dieting and turning over in my mother's womb, but I kinda couldn't help either of those at the time.

I was recently able to pay off my credit cards in one fell swoop & you cannot believe the relief & lifting of worry that had.

I was taught .. 'If you cannot afford it .. don't buy it' I have never had a credit card :)

Congrats for paying your's off. Bet it did feel might fine :)

Well the picture from the competition looks gruesome, but the picture of her dressed shows that when she isn't all pumped and in competition mode she looks a hell of a lot better than she used to. Mind you, from the neck up she is still Jodie Marsh, so its not all good...

In the same way that leprosy is 'better' than burning to death?!

I agree, but some of the comments on twitter were much harsher than that ("she's disgusting" etc). She has the right to do what she likes with her body, regardless of whether we find it attractive. Did Jodie Marsh stop to worry about my appearance yesterday? I highly doubt it. So why should I worry about hers?

I agree really, but if you were giving interviews about your appearance to The Sun, she might. And she is, so we might.

Whoever lived in our house before liked DIY but was a bit crap at it, meaning there's all kinds of bodged jobs around the place. One of them we just found, in the electrics for the bathroom. Not really serious, just a bit rubbish. They must have been a bit of a cheapskate or something. Or lazy.

So funny .. not!

There is only so many times you can put up with someone telling people they are going to kill themselves.

I think it's a Hospital Job, so as such, free.
MIne play up, and at one point I was going to have them out, but didn't, and they are ok. Sensitive tooth paste really really helps.
