That is even true for The Best of The Chris Moyles Show. Podcasts coincidentally came about the same time as iPods - and most people appear to associate a podcast with Apple. With digital content growing much broader than that into other phones and social media a 'free download' is felt to more accurately portray what it is.

Chris had a choice regarding his Twitter account, and he made a decision. There's no Radio 1 ban of Twitter or anything like that.

hazbazz wrote:Hey Aled, I'm wondering how songs get chosen to be played. Is the tracklist for the whole show chosen before the show starts? Or are they picked in half hour slots? Ten minuite slots? Are they picked off the playlist by a computer, or hand picked? They're picked by computer to begin with for the whole show ( that ensures there are no clashes with Dev and Fearne's show, and also that the right mix of British / international acts are chosen, you don't get two of the same genres back to back - like no two dance tracks). For us then someone (Sarita) checks them all and jiggles them about to best suit Chris and a breakfast audience.
Odd question, I know, but I was just curious

How about getting Greg in for the musical taste game as I reckon he'd be good on that feature?
Aled wrote:..........the musical taste game.............I don't think there's many weeks in it.I can see why you think that, and I agree - but hasn't it got the potential to be a brilliant occasional feature? An as-and-when kind of thing? It couldn't work for every guest you had on but for the "friend of the show" type guest it could be great.
