It certainly happens in many if not all of the other countries represented in the World Cup. You should see some of the Australian stuff.

Oh you specifically asked about the home nations. Maybe one of you should qualify for something and then we'd find out? Stop kidding yourselves - that's at the bottom of all this nonsense. England can scrape through and qualify for stuff (sometimes) and Scotland can't. Dare I say this - poor though England are, they're still better than Scotland. There, its out.

Jeez, its just a game, if England win something it isn't going to make the slightest bit of difference to anyone in England who isn't directly connected with the team, and that's a small number of people. Its going to make even less difference to anyone in Scotland, so why are so many Scots so furious about England's qualification? Be furious about Scotland's non-qualification if you like, that's pretty pointless too but at least it makes SOME sense.

Well said Yuds, at least Wales & Northern Ireland don't bash on about it over & over again. In the past I have normally hoped that Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland would all qualify, however I only really care about Wales & Northern Ireland getting through these days, hell I even cheer on the Republic Of Ireland more than Scotland these days.

I really don't know that many people who care. That said, I only associate with the cream of the crop. And Bonanzoid.

I love how everything becomes a sly dig at me Foots. Arsehole.

And I don't mind England qualifying, I just won't be supporting them. I've nothing against the nation, nor the players, merely the media circus that surrounds it. They ruin it for everyone.

This morning we got loads done including sorting out and collecting the pushchair. This evening we pick up the keys for the new house, but in between I've had time to watch some of the Argentina match, some of the Queen's semi-finals and now I'm watching the F1 qualifying before flicking over to the England match with nachos.

What an outstanding weekend of sport! It's markedly better than last weekend already, but that's not difficult.

Norwich is a lovely city isn't it?

Making me smile is almost having organised Baby Yudster cover for the whole summer holidays. Only the first week outstanding now. Can any of you lot have him for the week?!

Bloody hell, it would have been ATV in London back then 8O What a shower of shit ITV is these days compared to back then (although when I say back then I mean 1985-1995, I obviously wasn't around in 1966) :)

Making me smile today is the feeling that this week is going fairly quick which is good as it's almost time for my seaside trip to Bournemouth at the end of the month. Also i've sorted stuff for Father's day so i'm nice and organised.
