Annoying me today is the fact that I have been working my bollocks off this past couple of weeks for no thanks at all. Managing to get 3 weeks worth of work done in 1 week, working late most nights, last night I finished at 9:40 pm then still had to drive home then back in at 8:15 this morning, and haven't even had a thank you... I need a holiday.

That's one thing this place is good at - recognising hard work. Although that's more to do with my manager and director than the MD.

Having said that, work is pissing me off mightily today. For quite a few weeks now, I have been involved in a project that meant I was in possession of some information that I haven't wanted. We have two depots in the south west, one in Bristol and one in Somerset, which is a separate company that we bought out several years ago. These are now being consolidated, with the separate company being kept (but merged into a depot). This means that friends of mine in Bristol have the choice of either being made redundant or moving to the other premises, which is about a 45 minute car journey away. Obviously this means they could keep their job, but it's not going to be an easy decision for them and in all likelihood, most won't travel. I know business is business and these things happen, but these people are my friends and I have known this for a long time and had to sign a confidentiality agreement that stopped me from discussing it with anyone but the rest of the project team.

Lottie, What is the name of the protocol I would use to send a Fax over an IP network?

Feeling rubbish today. I don't think I quite have man flu but feel that I have the mild symptoms which could quickly mutate into the dreaded man flu!! :-(

The RAC (or Rent A Clown as it stands for) are * rubbish and are annoying me. Not only were they an hour late last night leaving me standing on the side of the M20 freezing my bollocks off for an hour and a half, but when they come to tow my car to the garage today the driver had forgot his straps so he couldn't strap my car to the trailer! How can you forget them?! Surely they are an important peice of kit that they need quite often!! So I am still sitting at home waiting for another RAC man to try and take my car again, when I should be in Reading working! GRRR

There is. It's called "the internet".

R.I.P. Teletext. And they didn't give us a chance to say goodbye. :(

I think they did on the telly views section. God some of those moaners will be standing at their windows now, waving, and wishing they had a song sang about them.

What's the Christmas Red Zone? Is it your time of the month? The festive period, so to speak?

No, its the period which can legitimately be regarded as "the last minute". In terms of Christmas preparation, not menstruation that is.

Good. The world shouldn't stop purely because of some religious festival. Not everyone is part of that religion.

That implies that everyone who IS part of that religion should be allowed to finish early. Thanks!
