Apparently it formed in 1997 when they merged some other cricket boards. There is a Welsh cricket team as well, who played England between 2002 and 2004.

Oh, and in answer to Topher's question, here's a 2005 Ashes winner who was fairly important...

This has been in several papers other than the heil as well.

I have to say what a load of old bollocks, honestly, I mean I haven't read the Beano for about 15 years now but even so I feel they've really buggered up here :x

I present you with this blog.

Diving in football, it's ruining the game.

(Better team won, but it's the manner in which they won which I detest)

I agree. I hate divers, they're despicable. I normally like Eduardo, but I've lost a lot of respect for him after that stunt.

Better team still won, and ultimately the dive didn't affect the game - but that in no way excuses it.

I agree with you both, and I say that as an Arsenal fan, it was a dive & did tarnish the game somewhat, however the way Dalglish went on about it (he might as well have said "bloody foreigners coming over here & ruining our game") you'd think there was repeat scenes at Arsenal vs Celtic, like there was at West Ham vs MIllwall last night.

Anyway I agree, diving is getting on my tits now, Gerrard is one of the worst of the lot for this (see not a foreigner Dalglish, unless scousers suddenly are) and to be honest was totally unnecessary, seeing as we did win in the end anyway.

Thanks for that link Topher, this blog here shows screen shots that shows the Heil & scum's (good name for a lawyers) article was a load of old bollocks, and I fell for it, bloody idiot that I am!

Funny thing is, that in the blog you posted, someone mentions the "hipper style of dress" introduced in the late 80's/early 90's. Funny thing is that I remember it well, I'm sure both the Mum & Dad wore a hooded sweatshirt each (the mum certainly did) and I think Dennis retained the block & red but also had a hoodie attached to his jersey as well, this was from around 1988-1991. Shame I don't have any of those comics any more as I could show you what I meant.

Gerrard's not one of the worst! Have you ever watched Drogba, Deco, Ronaldo, Puyol or half of La Liga play?

Actually, I thought Dalglish made a good point. The foreign players brought it over, the home grown players figured that since the foreign players were doing it and benefiting from it then they should be doing it too, and now we're stuck with everyone doing it. I mean, I find Scott McDonald is bloody notorious for it.

It's annoying me that this thread (and the other sticky in here) has taken over the former legendary "Sexiest Bird in Neighbours" thread in terms of its length. That's when the people on here really were piranhas.

The neighbours thread was always going to die eventually. And yes, people were nastier, cattier, generally more unpleasant for no reason back then. I think in some ways that was good for entertainment purposes but realistically again that kind of atmosphere is never going to be sustainable because most people DO need a reason to have a go at someone else. Not much of a reason maybe, but more than used to be regarded as necessary. I kind of miss all that, but it was never going to last.

Yeah that thread was going to die because all the sexy people have left Neighbours.

It wasn't quite as bad as that though Yuds, but then again I do think it's sort of unfair that the reputation the board had when I (and others) was/were around is still following it to this day. At least in the team's mind anyway - when only about 2% of the people who regularly posted back in the days of drivetime/early days of breakfast still regularly post on here.

I have a phone currently that does loads and loads of things - and I use it to make and receive calls and texts. I don't need or want my phone to be a toy!

I have now started getting pop ups saying that I might have won an Audi A3 cabriolet. I really don't want one of those either to be honest! I think its time to get Mr Y to look at our firewall.........

Use the Firefox browser which has an inbuilt pop-up blocker. I've never been bothered by them since.

Admittedly I've now missed the opportunities to win exotic stuff and sign up to body augmentation with the proclaimed potency of a rampant stallion, but I have all those already.
