Related to the above but off topic (although it's sort of making me smile): My Mum opened an account and started following me on Twitter. I now feel I must self-censor (or lessen the severity of) some of my thoughts.

Whilst I love its simplicity compared to Facebook, I'm now wishing there was a way of shielding certain followers' eyes from certain tweets, but I guess that's the price you pay for using these things. :?

I know the feeling, my mum is on Facebook shamefully, as are 2 of my Aunts and an Uncle. Luckily most of them don't go on there much, the Aunt that does is alright with most things I put

Surely joining Facebook in the first place indicates a lack of requirement for privacy anyway?

Mine too! Although at least with Facebook I can be clever with my privacy settings so she doesn't see everything. The problem is, she actually gets really offended if she suspects I'm doing that. On one particular occasion she got really huffy about it and threatened in a private message to me that she may as well quit the fecking site.

But typically, she forgot all about it the next day and went back to her fun, posting photos of the chickens.

And via Mum, I also have about 20 relatives from South America on there too (Uruguay finally discovered Facebook 2 years ago and then the requests came flooding in), but most of them I don't even know very well so am not too bothered by them. ;)

It does indeed. But sometimes there are different levels of etiquette within your own social/family circle. At least that's how I feel anyway.

No no, you don't understand Facebook Topher. You have to add everyone, and then moan about them all. Its the law.

Facebook can be really useful for sharing stuff with family members you can't see very often though.

I just get around it by changing settings where necessary. Only Mum is ever a problem, and that's only some of them time.

I don't remember moaning. Must've missed that law, although I do know people that will add anyone and everyone

I'm actually quite picky about who I add/accept, but I don't thing I could ever decline a friend request from a family member.

Making me laugh right now - strangely enough, the Scott Mills show. I feel dirty.

I've just noticed that about half of you lot have added me as a friend on Facebook. Hi there!

Why did everyone suddenly join me? Is it cos I changed my name? I don't use the thing anyways, but cheers.

You changed your name? From what? To what? Why?

I have to admit to laughing in shock when Scott let 'The One That Doesn't Speak' speak on air after not putting the voice changer on properly

File this under niche and geeky, but it's making me smile anyway - I download the CMS and listen later on my iPhone. I usually try and skip through the music, but it was always tricky to scrub through it accurately using the touch screen, so I'd always end up missing half the next link, or worse land too early and still have a minute left on the latest Britney single.

The new iPhone software has made the song scrolling speed adjustable so you can control this much easier. In the unlikely event that this is of interest to anyone other than me, check here.

Thanks. As you were. ;)
