Sorry Yuds, I only dealt with illegal immigrants, who still have the right to work you understand, and other EU nationals.

I am pretty sure that when a Visa is issued they can put pretty much any terms they like on them, and depending on the individual circumstances, and country involved. I have heard another instant where they must show they have a return ticket, in may be that in this case she did not have a return ticket, but had to keep a minimum cash balance as a "bond" in order to return home.

Or it's all a ploy to have a holiday, and see Ma & Pa, whilst making it explicitly clear to management that she is not being paid enough.

Rabbinical me? (thats what came up on spell check when I misspelt cynical, and I have no idea what it mean so will leave it, hoping it makes sense and makes me look really brainy, Steven Fry has got away with it for years)

I had a niggling suspicion that this would be so.

Probably not. What's the opposite of drainy?

Bloke upstairs.

Left his tap on, water came drip drip drippin by the bucketload, my bedroom is drenched, the damage is considerable.

I've had better days, I've gotta be honest.

Ah well, at least there was an upside.

And whilst it will be a pain getting the damage put right, at least you won't have to pay for it.

Yeah, I suppose, daft fecker will have seen that the water board switched off the supply this morning for routine checks, only to just leave it in it's 'on' position with the plug in, next thing you know, Niagra bloody falls.

I'm definitely sure it's not the holiday as she was in tears for 30 minutes and crying in Korean down the phone for 20 - i think the bond issue is what's happened : she's lived in the country for 8 years but as i understand it, needs to live here for 10 as she was a student for 7 and a half of them

Do you have any more of it about? There's a few people I'd like to get on a drip of it.
