I wish I'd taken languages more seriously in general. My dad speaks fluent French and my nan was a French teacher, so I actually had a head start, but I wasn't interested at the time.

If I had to pick a language I'd really like to learn it would probably be Polish due to my family background. That and the fact it's quite close to Russian (at least spoken if not written) and the rest of the Slavonic languages. It would be useful to know a non-latin based one.

Same here, I don't think Spanish is on offer at schools in Scotland at all. I only started it 2 years ago at uni.

I know 'uno cerveza por favor' (I think that's right). Obviously that's the main thing.

I could have done two languages if I'd wanted, I had to do at least one (I chose French) and another language was one of the options in the 'extra' column if I remember correctly, but I think I picked Business Studies instead.

Crazy English tourist. It makes all the difference.

And the first one is two beers and my friend has money. Ok it's not perfect but neithers my Spanish. I never had lessons, I learned what I know on the streets!

I took 3 years of high school Spanish. Comes in handy here (obviously) but it was sooooooooooooooooooooooo long ago that I only remember certain words and phrases. I won't elaborate. Oh, and my mother's German so, I know a wee bit of that, too. She reverts to German when she's angry and shouting. I took a year of French but, ha, that was 8th grade and I barely remember junior high. Ha. I barely remember yesterday.

I want to learn Italian. Partly because I want to go to Italy, and partly because it has the reputation of being fairly easy to get to a reasonable level in.

I don't know what the hell they are doing upstairs, but our office stinks of some kind of industrial glue. It won't be long before someone starts moaning.

Whenever I go to Spain people always have trouble understanding me. I speak slang and Chilean Slang at that. Get rid of all una, uno and don't pronounce the letter S unless it's at absolutely neccesary.

Dos Cervesa becomes Doh Eveahah

Mas O Menos becomes Ma O Meno.

Oh and Cervesa gets you a bottle of beer. If you want draught you ask for Chop.

Doh Shop Por Favor.

The Chilean for baby is Guagua pronounced WaaWaa.
So much easier.

Why does Chris always play the same line of the new Pink song randomly throughout the show? He plays it and then just carries on talking.

"The quiet scares me 'cause it speaks the truth" - am I missing something here?

Ohh, Lottie. That reads as quite pathetic. Chin up.

I don't think you're missing anything. Maybe he just finds it annoying because they keep thinking the song is over and/or are worried the emergency system might kick in from silence?

It's to do with the line precedding that one. The same reason he leaves a big gap. It's a running gag.

Hmm the rain is annoying me.

High Tides, lots of rain, the snow is melting. The river has burst it's banks, High tide at 4.9mts at 6.30 in the morning, the only thing is the wind is moving round to the North which helps push it out........ Do I roll out the carpet or not?

It's a bitch you know.

In that big gap, was today the first time he played Will's music really quietly? First time I've noticed.

I swear... unless I'm getting it mixed up, it was really quietly in the gap in the Pink song.
