My nana died early hours of this morning.

Yes, this is the smile thread. I'll explain. I went to see her last night. She was so far out of it that she was nothing like the woman I remember. I'd hate to end my days like that. But the last thing I said to her before I left last night was "Love you nana, sweet dreams".

I wish that kind of thing could be my last words to everyone who passes away.

Might sound a bit odd saying "Love you nana" to a mate though. Seeing as this is in the smile thread are we supposed to say well done or congratulate you? I'm all confused.

I'll stick with the bog standard just to be on the safe side.

Sorry for your loss. Always try to remember people as they were not how they are in hospital, no-one is ever at their best in a hospital.

Sorry for your loss Munki, but I'm pleased to hear you managed to pass on your desired message..

Making me smile is the fact I found a flat today! And it's literally 100metres from a very popular square where all the locals go for tapas and cervezas! :D :D

Oh mate, thats crap.

Download Frank Turner : Long live the Queen. Have a little weep man, and smile when you remember her like she was.

Like it's been intimated twice today: Soft me.

Be strong for your Parent.

I don't follow tennis. I've heard of the people but no idea what an impression of them would look like.

Nadal is easy to impersonate because of all his routines and mannerisms. Picking his wedgie out of his arse before he serves is the most famous one.

Yes but that could also be an impression of just about any man on the planet. I'll just have to take your word for it that it's funny. I tried explaining why Morecambe and Wise were so funny to a bunch of Kiwi's last night. They didn't get it either.

Joel is one year old today (at 18.49 to be precise). I'm going to his party in a couple of hours. I'll take photos and PM some of them to people who I think will be interested.

Post them! I'd be interested but I doubt you'd think I would be so I expect others would be too!

I got him trainers, which is what my sister asked me to get him. I think he did have a good day, he was knackered by the end.

I went out last night with a bunch of French folk and didn't really speak a word of English. They kept saying to me that they couldn't believe I'd only spent 4 months abroad and that I speak fantastic French.

It was a great confidence booster!
