Oh, and 'lol' is frowned upon round here. Welcome though.

No - it's incredibly annoying and also, it's in the forum rules:
No 'txt speak' - please use proper English (this includes the prohibition of the phrases 'lol', 'end of' and 'Fact.')

My avatar is of Andy Capp.

Slightly graphic, but I feel like quoting it, and slamming it straight into the 'smile/laugh' thread.

If you live where I think you live, it's considerably further than eight miles! Hope you feel better today.

In my Frankie Boyle DVD, he asks if any Scottish people are in the audience, then asks where they're from - quite a few say Edinburgh or Glasgow, then some fella says 'Paisley' and Boyle says 'oh, he's just topped you in shit town top trumps there!' Made me laugh anyway.

14.2km according to google maps. At least it confirmed I walked the quickest way. Which might be the quickest, but does take in all the sights of Paisley Road West. If you think Paisley is bad (and it is if you happen to walk through the west end as I did) then you should try Govan and Ibrox.

It's a well known fact that the big two football teams here live in possibly the two biggest shiteholes in Glasgow - just in case you think I'm being biased.

I'm glad the roads and streets were totally dead last night. I probably only saw a handful of people. I'm sure I met one guy in Ralston that was the same guy who told me in Glasgow not to bother waiting for the bus as it wasn't coming. He was sitting in a bus stop looking knackered. Poor guy, hope he got home alright.

Meanwhile, I appear to have aggrivated an old football injury. One that kept me out of fives for a year last time.

Petty or not (I disagree), rules are rules.

SnowMonster wrote:You want to get that avatar sorted mate. You need to appear sensible on a forum.

I happen to like it and I'll appear as sensible or stupid as I like.

Oddly enough, I look nothing like him.

Prior to this avatar, I had this:

...the only thing in common I had to that image was that I regularly hold a table tennis bat. Believe it or not, I'm not blue and I don't own a white pointy hat.

Personally, I'd call someone who judges people based on their avatar on an internet forum a fool, but fair enough.

I've had a habit of expecting people I know on internet forums to look something like their avatar if I ever meet them, but that's just silly. I've never judged them on it, even if it does tend to reflect at least a part of their personality (they wouldn't have picked it if it didn't).

Oh god! You will soon realise - if you stick about, which I doubt - that Topher is a very intelligent person (frightens me how intelligent sometimes). You, however, are obviously an idiot however who is incapable of rational thought or of adhering to rules.

You'll learn.

Munki, just think how fit you'll be from all that walking. ;)

Frankie Boyle is well known for the number of times he slags the crap out of Scotchland. It's one of these things that the English lack - the ability to laugh at ones self.

*pokes*
