I'm horribly horribly ill. I've got a sore throat and horrible cough. My head hurts and I can't face food at the moment. Which is a shame as I've only had a wee bit of cake. Not even had Xnas pud yet.

That sucks Andy - get well soon. Hot milk with a large slug of whisky and a dollop of honey will help.

That does indeed suck. I don't like Christmas cake though. Or Christmas pudding, which is surprising because I hae a massive sweet tooth.

S'birthday cake rather than Xmas cake. And I can't drink spirits. I find wine helps my throat feel better.

I went out for a drive today (to Zavvi). I got to my car and realised that at some point in between parking last night and when I walked out this afternoon, some ignorant * has managed to whack the passenger door (the previously non-dented side) and side panel and cause a massive dent that now means I can't open the passenger door as widely as I should be able to. Obviously they didn't leave details, that would have been far too considerate.

Damn dodgy pressies.

My sister has just rang me saying she is unable to get the 'DVD Trivial Pursuit' I bought her to work, apparently, its an American disc, which makes you wonder why it was on sale here in the first place, I don't even know if I still have the receipt. I knew last minute xnas shopping would come back to haunt me.

I got a DS for Christmas. With Pokemon Pearl, Mario, Mario v Sonic, Final Fantasy VII and - best of all - 100 Classic Book Collection.

Boboff has my complete sympathy as I too had that over Xmas. It's mostly gone but I am left with a terrible cough and constant bloody headache. Still. There's a lot of people far worse I guess.

Mrs Ladbroke had the bumper on her car scratched 2 days ago. She's not impressed as she's only had it for a few weeks. She's been left with red paint and scratches that wont polish out, so looks like it'll be an insurance job. Bastards!

First Buses. They were apparently running a Saturday service today. Now, putting aside the fact that it's Monday into Tuesday and not some magical holiday... Where the * were all the night buses?

I wouldn't have minded but my girlfriend was working. Usually if one of us is out with mates the other is a taxi driver unless we are working. Fair enough, but I stupidly thought I'd leave my cards in the house so I wouldn't spend too much... then spent most of what I had figuring I'd keep enough for the night bus which virtually drops off at my door anyway. I mean, why fork out 20 quid when the bus is about a tenth of that?

Not if none of them appear of course. So I've just walked home from Glasgow city centre. Which last time I looked it up was at least 8 miles. And it's freezing out there.

Still, that's another tick in the "things to do before I die" book.

I once fell asleep on the train (actually I do that quite a lot) and woke up at Virginia Water which is about 2 stops down the line, just over 4 miles away. It was the last train and figured I'd get a cab. Got the last £20 out of my account but walked off after it returned my card leaving the money there. Ran back just to see it get sucked back in. Had to walk back using the maps and "Find me" function on my phone who h had the tiniest red bar of battery left. Ended up walking down unlit, single country lanes at night wearing black. Possibly not the best option.

If you live where I think you live, it's considerably further than eight miles! Hope you feel better today.

In my Frankie Boyle DVD, he asks if any Scottish people are in the audience, then asks where they're from - quite a few say Edinburgh or Glasgow, then some fella says 'Paisley' and Boyle says 'oh, he's just topped you in shit town top trumps there!' Made me laugh anyway.
