Yesterday, the only time I've EVER gone over a red light (Just turned and the sun was in my eyes and by the time i saw it it was too late without causeing an accident), heading back that way I noticed it had a camera behind the light that takes your photo if you cross a red.
I didn't SEE a flash, but it's that not knowing...

I think they have two weeks to notify you Zoot (I think), just so you're not worrying for months!

They very rarely have film in them Zoot, and are rarely turned on, and even if they have had film put in the they only have a certain number of exposures. Yes that's right in this world of digital media, GATSO's generally still use film !

Tossers, * police state.

You should be able to appeal if you do get done, you won't win, but you could appeal.

Has anyone actually tried the trick where you send them a cheque for a penny more than you were fined?

Obviously, never having been fined, I've never had the opportunity, but my instinct would say it's bollocks.

Apparently when you get fined, if you send them back a cheque with one penny over the amount you were fined, they will then send you back a cheque for a penny. If you never cash that cheque, (apparently) they can't put the points on your licence because you need to have paid the exact right amount.

Like I said, I'm sceptical.

Yeah, they're blocking all major roads. To be fair, they're protesting because petrol here is 30% higher in price than in mainland France, even though we're technically a part of the nation, so their cause is fair it's just kinda annoying that we can't move at all.

It's not just near us too, everything's blocked all over the island. So, even though the island isn't that big it's still a fair size of strike. Every bus on the island is being used to stop people driving places. It's impossible to not be affected by this thing.

I had a great evening with a mate in Northampton. I come home and find that even though I know the combination to the lock on the main door to the building, the * thing will not open.

I'm staying at mum's tonight. It's not looking good for a change of clothes before I start work, which is so bad.

Oh Topher that's not good! Some idiot managed to change the door codes to our off shopfloor areas over the weekend by inputting the wrong code a few times, hitting on the master code by accident and then changing the code completely. I think it was a skank who wanted to break into the cash office and failed but it did annoy me.

Annoying me right now is my neck. I pulled a muscle in it - coughing of all things - and I have managed 4 hours sleep before waking in agony again. There goes my sleep for the rest of the night, work in 3 hours! hmph!

I don't at all think she is as ill as she makes out.

Because I am male, if I get a cold, I am accused of having 'man-flu' every time I cough or sneeze. This is simply not true, a cold is not a big deal to me, it lasts a few days or a week if I'm unlucky and then goes. I rarely moan about it. However, I do know plenty of women (and men to be fair, but the fallacy is that it's only men) who moan and make mountains out of molehills. I believe S4B is one of them.

Seconded. I've was loaded with the cold last week and its moved into a cough now. Now every time I have a sneezing fit, someone asks if I'm alright and my boss, who sits beside me, goes "man flu".

I do - she sounded awful when I spoke to her on Monday.

Ha OK - reasonable independent evidence would indicate otherwise then.

I overslept this morning.

Also, I have to write a character reference for someone for court. How the * do you do that? He's being done for ABH, from his birthday night out - got in a fight in a bar. Absolutely and totally out of character and I'm really not just saying that, I was astonished. The magistrates have now referred it to the Crown Court, which I thought was surprising in itself for a first offence and only ABH - they're saying it was unprovoked, which I don't believe. So anyway, now I've been asked to write a character reference.
