New Star Trek movie trailer came out last night... and it's yet another one aimed at the non Star Trek fans. Seriously, GIVE UP ALREADY. If they don't want to watch Star Trek, they're not going to go see the new movie. Try making one that's aimed at the millions of Trekkies and Trekkers the world over. They're a big enough audience that you'll make your money back and then some.

Comercially, people who know little about star trek, but see that it's been 'updated' with hunks like Quinto are likely to pay money to go see the film, and 'tis all about the dollah.

Pets are a nuisance, they eat shed loads of food, and leave mess wherever they go, and, unlike Pigs and Poultry you can't eat them or things they excrete.

Dogs and Cats are a complete and utter waste of * space.

*I have just spent two days decorating the back Porch and WC where they sleep, and within 2 minutes of letting them back in there are muddy paw prints, food scattered asunder, the dog has jumped up and clawed the gloss and put mud all over the Door which I had only just finished polishing with Windolene.

I think they might from now on be sleeping outside.

Not annoying me but upsetting me is an email I just got about a friend of ours - this time last week he had a "bad cold". Last weekend it got worse, he went to hospital for rehydration. Then all of a sudden he's critical with a virus infecting his heart valves. Then all of a sudden on Monday he's transferred to a neurological unit because he has had a stroke and needs surgery to remove a clot from his brain. Now he needs emergency heart surgery before his heart deteriorates (which it is doing fast) but they can't do that until he has responded to the anti-virals (which he is not doing). He's 33 years old for * sake, has a wife and a nearly two year old daughter. Life's rarely fair, but sometimes it really takes the piss.
