that's nice of you. america's not all bad, but there's still quite a bit of bigotry deep within. i think it's like that around the world though.

I agree, it's just that sometimes I imagine it gets more magnified in the good old U S of A. All the american's I've ever met seem very nice indeed........ and so too do you....... high 5 !!!!!

Great Film.
Having read the original short story, then the book, and knowing the very advanced thinking behind them, (as well as being a fan of fellow Somerset man Sir Arthur C Clarke), then '2001 A space Odyssey' is one of my favourites, I also love 'being john malkovich', 'the big lebowski', and 'O brother where art thou', The Blues Brothers is a great film, but not sure if I rate it more since I went to Chicago, and met some people in Skokie, where I learnt more about the film, and some interesting facts about John Belushi!

Now I'm remembering more films!

Well, it's more of the fact behind Skokie, just outside of Chicago, and how John Belushi used The Blues Brothers to make a political statement.

Basically the Jewish council decided to allow a march by Nazis in Skokie, and as you can imagine there was uproar, John Belushi added the Nazi's jumping off the bridge as a statement of how he felt heres a bit more info;

and heres an interseting mesage board, with one of the actors that played a nazi posting:
