Many out there:

DVD Shrink (Link) is one I have used a few times, seems to do the trick. Gives you the .vob files on your HDD or can burn straight to another disk I think.

I know....... surely it'd be best to smash/shatter them? I'm not sure how easy it will be to rip a DVD, but hey ho if you do it, then film it so that I may experience this event.

If i want anything for free, i start off by climbing into my neigbours house, have a look around there. If i cant find what im lookinf for i usualy pretend to hurt myself in the a shop and to stop me from taking there arse to court they usual offer me somthing for free
