I've recently moved into a new house with 2 (yes 2) wood burning fires, and we tried it out last night. I'm guessing that the previous owners didn't keep the flume swept, because within 30 seconds we were engulfed in smoke.

Are there any 12 year old cok-a-ney chim-a-ney sweeps out there who want to earn 2 bob?

There's nothing more satisfying (nor daring) than laying a big log on an open fire.

Oh yes I have, but since the chimney is blocked, I've got a roaring fire going in it, it makes for a very romantic bath time.

I have a chain saw and an axe and a log splitter bomb thing you hit with a sledge hammer, and all other sorts of Penis repalcement therapies.

Still log is warm

Bag fer bolicks, B&Q do a dual set of drain rods and chimney cleaner stick for £18, you want a little fire burning hot to dry it out, then brush, the slow and steady to make sure you have a good draw !

I just wish I had a proper fireplace. Radiators suck.

Just moved into a 250 yr old cottage, central heating is now on (thank god!) and having a woodburner is an added bonus.

You put wank in there too, and it didn't mind. Maybe you're allowed to "wank" in here....?

(Highlighting mine)

You can swear in the 'Ramble' section if you so wish, although doing it for the sake of it is neither big nor clever.

Appreciate that it's not big or clever, but Bag for soot had * blanked out, and i didn't undetstand that the "machine" that puts the stars in would allow w word mentioned above and not *, I comment on it not out of some desire to swear but just at amazement at how the site censors words that's all, it takes very little to interest, and please me you know !

Thanks
