Anyone looking forward to this as much as I have, be warned...this movie IMO is a real let-down compared to the hype it has been recieving. When it's funny, it's bloody hilarious but anyone expecting 90 mins of Borat interviews like the ones on tv is gunna be dissapointed.

The interviews used are really short and 90% of them have been seen in the trailers - same old story when it comes to Hollywood these days. The rest of the movie focuses mainly on Borat and his producer travelling around america looking for Pamela Anderson, which in the most isn't too funny, but gets a real pay off at the end.

Don't get me wrong, compared to most comedy films over the past few years it's great, but I think this film suffers at the hands of its own hype and Cohen using most funny lines not seen in the trailers in every single interview on every single show over the past few weeks. I would recommend the film, but don't expect to be blown away.

Anyone else seen it yet?

As someone who wasn't really a fan of Ali G, I went to see it today. Thought it was utter quality.

Have to say, they were a hell of a lot of shocking lines. I can see why people would easily get offended! Some of the funnier points were hearing the reaction from those in the cinema watching it!

Well worth a watch.

LOL I think all the telly appearences Borat has been making are all part of the cinema ticket price, here:

http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,4-2006510114,00.html

And see the hilarity of Avid Merrion and Borat sending up Madonna and her ebabies, add to the mix the all-round smoothness of the timberlake and you're getting away with murder, genius!

The Brits could never do this, far from it.

is it a let-down comparable to the Ali G In Da House movie then? I won't bother and just wait for Tenacious D in The Pick Of Destiny then as I've already seen Saw 3 three times now..

Borat is such an easy film to watch, it's great. I do see that they've sort of filled it a bit to stretch it out, but it was the best film I've seen all year.. (Yes, I've only gone to see three films this year, being the Last Kiss and Talledega nights.. I'm poor..)

I can't understand the need to watch a film more than once at a cinema.. once I've seen a film it's gotta be quite a while before I'll watch it again.

? you mean which came first ?
I think nubile teen college virgin lesbian, but might change for a real man, first timers get paid for it, watch like daddy, was a particular favorite or this genre.

Why does that film look like me previous search list on my computer ? Wish I could get rid of that !

PS for any peado police this is a joke, no really it is............

I thought it was a decent comedy, i agree with some people that it wasnt as good as his tv shows have been.

But im suprised nothings been said in the papers about "the running of the jew" but the guy who plays Borat is jewish i think so i guess it can be seen as racism.

I think the funniest bit is the end when he high 5 that guy with one arm but he has the rubber hand dildo thing duck taped to it hahaha.
