It could go either way really, I think that it'll be good as a one off but I'm not sure I'd want him there all the time. He's better when he comes on now and again.

But Longman is nothing special. He was good when he first appeared on the show but now it's another 'feature' that's well and truly ran it's course. Boring.

I thought Longman was terrible this morning. It seemed like Chris was working really hard to force anything funny out of him to little avail. Made me realise how funny Dave actually is.

Well, i'm about an hour into the show on listen again, and so far it's pretty damn bad. The Longman & Carrie thing has been really played out, and longman is totally unfunny, why is he even there?.
So far Ghost Dave is the only thing that's made me laugh.

Not good as a sidekick or in long spells.

And yeah, it does show how good Dave is!

I agree that the funniest thing about today's show was the ghost of dave! Very amusing indeed. However to be fair Longman was put in a difficult position today. Having no previous broadcasting experience the beeb were asking too much as it wasn't like he was going on local toss pot radio to talk to Jolly Jimmy about pig racing. Going on Moyles show on national Radio 1 is the biggest and best thing you could ever do in british radio.

So fair play to him for even trying, although I would say he would have been paid a pretty penny just for today's 'freelance' presenting.

Davina Mccall or Billie Piper could possibly have been a better choice as they are used to fame and wouldnt have been as nervous as Longman, not that I wouldnt be nervous, I bow down to him though one day I might travel to leeds for one reason and one reason only - to get a sandwich
