I'll say it before anyone else does shouldn't that be "...are on the show tommorow...."

Filling in for the guy who actually got people to listen to Radio 1 again was always going to be hard.

Jono wrote:And a pub quiz or Celebrity Tarzan isn't? No one made it out to be not lazy or original, and I think there's plenty of people who quite like them, I don't mind them.

Lloyd's an amusing hyper-active kid, who they might as well use for the show whilst he's in London, and really he is mainly what makes the calls funny rather than winding up the caller.

I never said those two features on Moyles' show weren't unoriginal, and as it happens, I'm not a big fan of either one, especially the Pub quiz (in my opinion never a particularly good feature to start with, and one which is now way past any sell-by date it might have had). I don't agree about Lloyd being funny, because although I did actually really laugh at him and quite liked him during the football feature, now, when he does those calls, I just find him precocious (or however you spell that word :) ) and irritating I'm afraid.

Thats because it's an absolute shat idea, and whatever way you dress it up, it isn't original.

The pub quiz is the worst feature Chris has ever had in my opinion.

Especially the girls versus boys bit - cringeworthy..

Never said it was original, said it was an original take but personally I do like it, it provides good arguments, banter and I find myself trying to guess the answers.

It is very hard to try to find a completely original idea that's funny.

Ha. Yeah, but arent the team and its fifty six producers paid to do it?

Moyles has managed plenty in the past so I find it hard to believe he cant offer any more.

Here's a question thinking about it: in the two and a half years Chris has been doing breakfast what features stand out to you?

Bar Carpark Catchphrase I'm really struggling..

Hey you're asking the wrong guy, I still say Viaduct was the best. Most funny ideas come about by accident. I have a friend who works for the BBC and he and I usually end up chatting about random stuff. We come up with a few ideas that would make us laugh but no-one else and every once in a while we come up with an idea that we love but have no vehicle to showcase it - good job too.

What we find funny no-one else probably would and they're just basic ideas with no real fleshing out, it's all just banter at the end of the day.

The best bits of the show have been brought over from Afternoons, Ramble and Tedious link I think.

Technically there have been worse IMO, but the team saw sense to drop them. The fact that the pub quiz has been going on for so long now is an absolute joke

I agree totally with the Ramble and Tedious Link comment.

Too true (unfortunately). I'm sincerely hoping (probably in vain) that they will finally have got rid of it when they come back.

It's a shame we have to listen to Mills. He seems to have this self confidence and annoying aura about him, i can't describe why i find him so annoying.

You don't have to listen to anything - there is an off switch, a choice of other stations and even your very own CD collection!

I don't use CD's, they're old school.
