There was a DJ up here in Scotland, Tom Wilson (RIP), who used to have a radio show on Saturday night called stepping out and he played happy hardcore, and a squad of Geordies used to drive up to Edinburgh in a van every Saturday night, listen to his show and then drive back. That was back in the day when hardcore was massive. Don't think 160bpm music would go down too well on Radio 1 nowadays though.

Why not? People still listen to it. You could put it on at 1 in the morning at weekends or something.
