Yes thats right ignore all the behind the scenes work they do for hours after the show has ended in preparation for the next day (well, most days) and the unsociable hours they do.

On Wife Swap there was this couple who had something like 7 kids raking in 40K a year in benefits.

With that on offer, can't blame you mate. Sure beats working your arse off for a pittance. Not sure I agree with it, i.e. the system should be looked at but yeah blame the system not the abusers!!!

How dare you use such language on the forum! And you have no right to say anything about my buddy Moyles if you're not paying a portion of his wages. Perhaps people should have to post your TV license number before signing up to the forum in future.

By the way this month i've got lots of mileage receipts from my family so i might get away with only paying £50 tax.

You stupid incompetent people! Well, those who don't agree with me. Chris Moyles is paid £600k a year because that's what he's worth. In fact, he's probably worth more than that, but chooses to work at the BBC for the prestige and honour of having the (second) most listened to Breakfast Show.
If people will pay him £600k to talk on the radio (note that he doesn't sit down, he actually stands up to keep energy levels high, so swivel), then he's entitled to take £600k. It's nothing compared to footballers, CEOs of big business or the undoubtable level of needless middle management there is. And they're entitled to what they want as well. We live in what is pretty much a free market. Supply, demand generates the price.

If your points is that it's a waste of license fee, then you're on a completely different subject as to whether we should be forced to pay for something we could choose not to watch. My personal opinion is that the BBC offers unique levels of non-advertised innovation which cannot be found anywhere else in the world.

Just to chime in with my 2 pennys worth, on chris' MySpace page, he says he earns less than $30,000 per year, but then again he also says he's 25 and married (and a link to Longman's MySpace with a really dubious looking, very camp picture of him)

That said supply and demand have already been mentioned and given previous statements in this thread I would like to see the license fee abolished* so that only those who pay for the BBC can listen to Moyles so that others don't push the price up for people who actually pay it (O.k. so I got a warning letter, and a final notice letter and a "we are coming roud your house with big men with clubs" letter. I still paid it).

*Edit - lisence fee abolished and replaced with a subscription service.

There would be no point in spelling correctly if we all got it right either.

Chris earns too much. I think he should donate it to refugees and asylum seekers in the south east of England. They have such a hard time of it down this way.
