I am new to posting but have browsed the site for years as a non-member and IMO I believe that its recently got a lot worse, not neccessarily to 'newbies', but to people who post pointless, random and unbalenced ramblings. There have been a lot of new members recently(including me) and most we'll never here from again.

There was one post that about Aled, that really was out-of-order and very homophoic, but yet the post stayed on here for ages, I'm sure the person got banned, but still... Aled said himself about him being removed.

I`ve been a newbie for quite a while really, but I can't see this place being any worse than anywhere else I post at. If you show up with a bunch of attitude an don't realise that half of the questions you may think are original have been asked 100 times before just makes you a bit of a dufuss... and demand shouting at.

I speak when I have something interesting to add (I realise saying that is like putting a lump of meat in a Lion cage!) otherwise I enjoy the banter and love the sound clips.

I've been lurking around for a couple of years now, and I actually enjoy reading more than posting because this forum has a bit of character like any other.

Anyone who joins and thinks such people like |S|, Topher, Ickle Angel, Jono, Sebi, Gigglyboots or any other regular are bullies, you should just leave. I hate forums that are so tight in their rules and you cannot post a joke or you're off. I love the banter here and its much more enjoyable to read than "what's your newest geek toy?" at computergeeks.com.

I came up with this idea months ago and got slagged off as usual by the ill mannered, aggressive members of this board.

I think your being rather general. Many people disagreed with you, including myself and placed forward arguements against yours. You may not like that, but thats the way the world works.


Moyles is a big fan of Howard Stern/Seinfeld. Both these shows are based on interaction and conflict between entities. Therefore having a fansite dedicated to him which is portrayed on air as hating him provides a heap of material.

During Moyles 'rants' against the board, you'll notice he drops in posts made by people which agree and support with his opinion, almost a wink to the members of the chrismoyles.net notifying them that he knows the board isn't as bad as he makes out on air.

I think theres a great deal of tounge and cheek blending between reality and fiction, which some people fail to recognise.

As Chris mentioned elsewhere, this site would be cr*p if it eliminated banter/conflict and just relied on sychophantic posts beginning with 'i love chris, he's great,' and 'i listen to chris in me souped up citreon and he's a f*cking right laugh.'

Finally, making a statement such as 'close this site down,' in regards to the very same website which is offering you the opportunity to convey this very same opinion comes across as rather petulant.

Long term members think they own this site

Unfortunately it happens on pretty much any forum, generally any "n00b" gets put down by certain elements of any internet community. That's why I find lurking for a month or two is a good idea before joining any forum, it let's you know who the t**ts are so you can ignore them.
A lot of internet users forget they're talking to other people and manners are generally forgotten as the chances of meeting up are very slim. If people want to be negative, let them, after all they're just sharing their opinions and wasting time on the internet like we all do.

This site is certainly no worse than most other forums i'm registered with, yeah people will slag off Moyles and the people on here but it's no biggie. I can totally understand why a lot of people dislike him, he's brutally honest and sometimes harsh, but it's makes for great radio.

As for Chris feeling self consious, someone who has been refered to as a "tosser" (amongst other things!) in magazines and by celebs isn't likely to take much on board that he's read on the internet. Hell, when I was an admin on a chat site once upon a time I had death threats, the lot.....did I care? Er, no. Water off a ducks back, much as it will be for him. Going by his listening figures millions think he's great, from his point of view i'd be more inclined to go with the majority. Either way, he get's a s**t lot of money for it, i'd gladly be him

Agreed, I have also been on other forums, and if theyre not posting in gobbledegook and mass swearing, theyre being a damn site more nasty than what you see here! (most are gamers forums).
As for Chris being worried at all about the posts on this forum then maybe thats a good thing, as he would be showing concern for people that have been listening to him for years and not days.
I think this whole website is great, including the forums, and reading through the posts on this topic, the majority would agree.

I was never bullied when I joined. If you join and post shit, it will happen. Theres a very simple solution to that.

Also, if this site gets a mention, 4 million people join up, all start new topics and generally post crap. So what is normally a fairly quiet, adult forum turns into a kids playground, then it dies down again in a few weeks until it gets mentioned again.

The site could remain open yes but the forum should just be read only. At the moment it's just creating and stirring hatred and I can honestly say if I was Chris, with or without an ego I'd still feel a little concious about myself and the show because of the hundreds of people laying into each other in my name on here.

That's just rubbish. Fans on here saying "Moyles's show wasn't very good today", is NO different than him going on the air on Tuesday and saying "Leeds were rubbish on Sunday." If he doesn't get that then he's an idiot, if he does get it and is playing up a bit on air (which I do believe has happened before) then that's fine, but it does lead to a load of people coming on this forum and having nothing to say apart from "stop taking rubbish you idiots, moyles is great".
