The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

To ensure there isn't a flood of topics on the board, use this thread to talk about Mills covering for Moyles over the next 2 weeks. Chris returns on Tuesday 18th.

MC or Jono will put up a brief round up of the fortnight on the reviews page at the end

Has One Night With Laura started yet? I heard Mills mention it once or twice a few weeks ago but very little since...

Dont think so. What with it being such a good idea, I think they will try and "big it up" a bit more.

What was Laura being on Colin & Edith yesterday all about. I mean this "One Night with Laura" thing seems to have spiralled out of all control. It's simple radio for people i guess, reflected aswell by Mills being the top podcast.

But remember the Itunes podcast chart doesnt really reflect the number of downloads. the chart works on the number of new subscribers per week.

Well i don't have iTunes myself, work of the devil imo, not to mention how it stands for Apple taking over the mobile mp3 market.

They are down to the last three, Gareth, Chef and some guy that plays the accordian, I think.. I put it on at work this morning, not sure my hotel customers thought it was as funny as I did.

It might be alright if Mills didn't keep repeating himself. It's alright for those who only tune in for 30 minutes, but if you hear it for the whole 3 hours, hearing the same audio every 30 minutes is boring.

Who would you rather have? Spoony, Colin and Edith?

There must be at least 7 on Moyles' team compared to Scott's 4. Surely effects the output a bit?

You could admit that it gets repetitive Jono, rather than standing up for Mills whatever the argument.

I'm not disagreeing about the features, but listening for the full show I come out thinking the banter has been good - obviously not as good as Moyles' but better than the other DJs.

Agreed, but the competition for good daytime shows is rather lacking in terms of amazing output.

Radio 1 obviously feel people like that sort of thing. Scott Mills generally tends to drag on features and get the most out of them. Prank calls and angry pizza men are funny - but only for a certain time period.

But do the average listeners actually listen that much?

They listen enough to know when a feature becomes tiresome

I like Scott Mills only because I randomly listen in afternoons when I'm free, and not at lectures. But now I'm at home, and working along to breakfast, it might as well be the same show everyday, it's getting old.

To be honest, I don't even care who wins.. Like it's so over done, and they appear like idiots anyway.

Didnt know where to put this- so put it here!

No new features when Chris returns on the 18th- however, they will have a HUGE Take That announcement and Richard Ashcroft in the studio.
