The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Excuse me if this is posted elsewhere, but on other messageboards I use from the same provider there are links for the next and previous threads at the above and below the postings.

Is there anything I can do to make it appear on my page or is it set for all users?

Just makes navigating much easier.

Why does apple (supposidly) sucking, give 'your man' problems with linux?

I was more impressed that there is a red circle in every picture, even on the picture of the screen on the screen shot...

It's a BT Voyager 105 DSL modem. Loads of people have issues with them, and practically the only solution that people seem to suggest involves buying new hardware, which I can't afford to do.

apple sucks for a variety of reasons, one of them is their medieval view about hardware. 'my man' needs to use a g5 for work because of the processor, and he's had a whole host of issues because he's not using OSX. i know apple doesn't really care that people might want to use their hardware with other operating systems, because the hardware is bundled with OSX, but i just know he's spent lots of time overcoming stupid little issues because apple is so secretive- like running the fans and the monitor.

sorry, i didn't realise you were one of the "chosen".

I'm not entirely sure what being a 'chosen' would entail, but I'm probable not one. My contact with Apple products has been slightly limited, but from that I have no reason to dislike Apple.

i thought you were a mac-head, my appologies. i don't think apple's totally nefarious, but i wish that they would help people trying to write linux programs for their machines, the same is for any hardware really.

it's funny because my boyfriend works to try and figure our how to make faster computers, but it seems that companies are way more worried about patents and money than making the next jump to faster chips.

I don't think any commercial supplier would want to help people write linux programs for their computers, simply because they're not going to get anything for it.

You can now get Apple Macs with Intel processors, that might make things better.

Sat is up Thanks Ian
