Ha, that's class.

Dom (as usual) comes up with the best line. I do like that Donna caller by the way, she has been quality on BBB.

Why? The guy's clearly a professional who takes his job very seriously so he no doubt wanted to kick himself for saying it.

It's funny really - he's got himself a hell of a lot more wound up about things in the past and still managed to keep the lid on saying 'those words'. As he said earlier, the show had probably been too relaxed!

By the way - I don't have a problem with it and certainly hope no-one complained about it, not unless they're 'Troubled of Tunbridge Wells' with three kids who are now going around saying '****ing' all the time :D

Cheers, Asa

of course they won't - (most) people don't get offended with a swear word or two

I would imagine that the amount of apologising was also down to what he was actually saying about the caller at the time. let's face it, OFCOM will get involved so he wants to make it as clear as possible that what he was saying was friendly banter that he got a little carried away with.

So what did Chris say? Obviously hint at it - what does it rhyme with? Or what letter does it begin with and how many letters did it have?

Swearing - remember it is not big and it is not clever but save some for me!

Some website Jono posted wrote:he told a contestant her children were 'f***ing brats' who were making too much noise.

That's not what he said at all, he said "You've got three kids from some f*ck*ng r...", and he didn't mention them making noise. Just goes to show that the newspapers (Daily Mail?) really do research their stories well.

The same thing is said on the BBC news website. You would think they would research an incident that happened in their own organisation better

The Sun reported that too if I recall correctly

If you read that story, it actually says OFCOM let them off the Elton John incident. This one wont be looked at for a couple of months yet

I know, I know. So are stations like Xfm able to get away with swearing as I've heard some foul-language come from Jimmy Carr before?

Well it depends on the core listenership. There aren't technically any watersheds on radio, so the stations have to use their common sense to work out when Children are most likely to listen - ie not XFM. You can often hear a lot of swearing on Radio 4 comedy which is broadcast at 6:30

I think that's terrible. They make him sound as though he was really laying into a poor woman, swearing about her noisy kids from 3 different fathers! Simply not true.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/4735488.stm

The DJ made the outburst at a mother of three from Newcastle, branding her children "f****** brats".

The 31-year-old made the remarks after the listener's children made a noise during a feature on his breakfast show.

He then said that her children were from different fathers before letting out the expletive.
