Hasn't it gone "Chris Moyle" considering it's Moyles Show (and no it isn't a typo)?

No because that's not * rhyming slang for anything.

someone on digitalspy summed it up quite well

Moyles was great when he was on Capital Radio many many many many many years ago, because he was the only DJ on there who didn't behave as though he was brain dead and controlled by a marketing committee. He also spoofed the jingles quite well which is something I hadn't heard ever done before on Capital at the time.

He then moved to really late nights on Radio 1 and bizarrely took some of the Capital spoof jingles with him...

Anyhow, he was good there so they gave him the afternoons and, as people have said on here, this is probably his golden age, he was genuinely funny without overstepping the mark too often.

Then... I think he started to suffer from the same ailment that afflicted Noel Edmonds and Chris Evans, he thought people were interested in what he said purely because it was him saying it.

The thing that made Moyles (and Evans, and I've heard Edmonds too) funny was that he did jokes which related to the kind of real life that the listeners would be familiar with.

But that began to change just before Moyles went to the Breakfast Show, he began to talk about meeting the Gallagher brothers, about parties he'd been to and celebrities he'd danced with. It just wasn't funny to hear, it sounded more like he was showing off and it certainly wasn't anything we could relate to.

It's sad because I remember this exact same thing happening with Chris Evans. In the early days I remember him having a big long running joke about what kind of bin liner was best, but by the time he moved to Virgin he would start telling unamusing anecdotes about how he'd just signed a contract for £2 million or something.

The entertainers turned into spoilt children, or something like that, they totally lost their grounding.

Oh....

I thought "wrong" was the fact that it wasn't slang for anything.

How ome there are so many "Going downhill" posts about?

Why did they join in the first place if they hated Moyles?

Maybe they don't hate Moyles, they just don't think he's as good as he used to be?

As I said, I wasn't really asking. I phrased it like that in a sarcastic way. It was a rhetorical question.
