chris moyles sounded like eric cartman trying to convince the other kids off of southpark to be his friends~
I think he ruined the end of that interview.

I didn't hear it thankfully (went to see Oasis so slept in - same again tonight) but I imagine it to be cringeworthy.

I did wonder how long it would take for Ghetto Life to be mentioned!

P.S. How was the greatest band alive? Saw them twice last year. Saw Ian Brown on Saturday who was fantastic.

I thought the interview was quite good... its when Moyles is so laid back, and its nothing to do with promoting the artist...

I think they should have left it up to the bald eagle to interview him,
he could have just hopped back on his right foot! great radio

At least that sounded better than his Ronnie Corbett impression.

BTW, isn't this sort of thread supposed to be in Radio Show Reviews?

It was so bad I had to turn it off. Moyles is awful at interviews. He relies totally on chemistry with his guest and if there is none there, he struggles terribly and it makes for awful radio.

Moyles interviews remind me of awful dinner engagements where no conversation flows and the guests laugh at each others jokes when neither party actually finds them funny.

I thought it was a funny interview. The two seemed to get on and Chris Moyles was very laid back.

It reminded me of the one Chris Martin did with Ricky Gervais in Q mag ages ago. That was a random interview too and very funny.

The trouble is, I think Moyles really admires Martin. He's said in the past that meeting your heros is not something he enjoys doing.

yeah but no but,
he sounded completely different though when he played back an interview with robbie williams, and i am sure he admires him also.......

I thought it was awful. Not as bad as the Drew Barrymore interview, but that was a different kind of badness.

And all of this 'random' thing is slightly starting to get on my nerves. I can't remember a period of more than a couple of shows where someone on the show hasn't gone "God, isn't it a random show today?". I don't mind normal conversation spiralling off into a different subject, but when it leads to turd like todays interview, then they can do without it.
