Why is the quickreply button in Helvetica but not any of the other buttons, which are in Verdana or something?

Now that's really anoraky... But I assume by 'other buttons' you mean the buttons that aren't images. The Quick Reply button is an image and presumably the same font as the quote buttons, for example.

Actually it's probably because the quick reply feature is an add-on and not an official feature of phpBB2, so the image that goes with it wasn't made by the same people that made the other ones, hence a different font.
