My day got off to a terrible start this morning!

My usual Mon-Thur morning routine is to get up at around 6am, watch the news and stuff while getting ready for work. At around 6:58am, I then put R1 on and go and get my baby boy up. I listen to the show whilst getting him ready, then switch R1 on as soon as I get into the car until I get to work at about 8:30am.

HOWEVER...... now and again, I have to get a taxi to work. Usually, the lovely taxi drivers agree to my insistence that R1 goes straight on the radio. This morning, the nasty taxi man decided that it was more important to listen to Talk Sport about Craig Leveine leaving Leicester (which by the way should have happened ages ago). Although I am quite happy to talk about my beloved Stoke City as we did most of the way, the conversation is always nicer with R1 on in the background.

Oooh I was not happy, and it's now put me out of sync for the whole day!

Does anyone ever have similar problems with people being unwilling to accomodate their radio taste?
