The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Anyone think that with the constant plugging of this business that perhaps Moyles has a quiet / secret share in it?

Otherwise why would Radio 1 allow constant free advertising?

I think anyway that Chris owns a bit if not all of that shop. Makes sense...

I think it's only fair seeing as Longman brings loads of comedy to any of the links that Chris features him in. I work in an office with at least 30 gossip-fueled females, and they are all in stitches whenever Longman cracks a joke. If it's like that everywhere then it's gotta be good for the listening figures!

Rubbish, if that was the case any amount of the 'comical' characters on the show with any sort of private business would get a plug. In Longmans case its a hardcore plug with sprinkles on top. Chris must be linked with it somehow cos it gets such obvious adversting.

Why not? After all that XBox stuff this morning, and over the last couple of weeks, I don't think mentioning a local sandwhich shop would make any difference.

Would Chris have a share in it though? If he was found out, surely he'd get into massive trouble?

like Tongy and ffrr records on the Essential Selection many moons ago.

It's more a case of Chris trying help his mate the "artful tax doger" with extra cash in order to make sense of there "continual" friendship.

After all, if you were earning (lets say) 350k a year compared to your 20-30k mate selling Coronation chicken sarnies... then it would be nigh on impossible for him to join in, in your lavish lifestyle on a continual basis.

Take Karl Cromton (lottery winner) for example.... Here's a guy that wins 13mil and decides to party hard with luxury holidays, cars, bikes etc etc etc... Now all his real mates who were plumbers, brickies etc could not obviously afford to keep up. So they fell by the wayside... Now Karls a recluse or if you want to be PC then he's a "family man"!! yeah right

Another guy who has recently come into the public eye with this scenario is Chris Martin from Coldplay..... He finds it hard knowing his mate has nothing in comparrison. So he drags him all over the place like a puppy dog.

Argggggh successsssssssssssss

Nope Flame I don't agree. Seeing as Chris isn't Karl Crompton and just likes to go to his local pub and have normal nights out, I doubt Longman would struggle to keep up anyway, besides what do you think Moyles does, have champagne partys everyday?

Longmans just Chris's friend I'm sure of it. He just happens to be pretty funny. I doubt being on the radio brings Longman much more attention and customers anyway. Moyles never explains where Longmans in, apart from saying its in Leeds (which is huge and has millions of sandwich shops)
