With my O2 tarrif, I have an allowance of 200 free text messages per month, which is enough to keep me going without further charge. Why is it though that every time I text Radio 1, I am charged an extra 10p, as well as one of my "free" texts (or more if the text system isn't working properly and it tries to resend)?
Also, Chris Moyles regularly encourges people to text, in response to daft questions, as well as competions. There's nothing wrong with that, except if Radio 1 are making 10p from every text message, I think that's wrong! Don't you?
