I used to think that, but I have changed my mind.
The breakfast show has been excellent in the last few months. Let's face it too, there is no way Chris is leaving that slot for the forseeable future. He has been a huge ratings winner and with Mills doing well, the breakfast and drive ratings must be as strong as they've been for years.
Also, he's got the biggest gig in radio and is (almost certainly) the highest paid DJ on Radio 1. I just cannot see him in any other slot on the station after this. It's natural for people to say they want him back on afternoons, cos its the show most of us got into first - plus it's on at a time when most people on this board could hear the whole thing live.
Face it though, that is over. That was two years ago and I can't see him back there.
I think he would want another breakfast show if Radio 1 ever decided to get rid of him from theirs.
