Aled (although probably a nice guy), is to much of a yes man. He would make boring TV.

Get Shaun Ryder in and lets all have a laugh...

In a way I'd say Dave because if the redcoat thing is anything to go by, he's be constantly complaining, which I think would make it funny to keep him in.
