Seriously for a second, what do people reckon is the going rate for a national radio breakfast show presenter?
By Jono

I read he was getting paid £300,000 or something in The Sun.

Well he's been there ver a year and a half and it would seem he's only just been paid enough to get that webcam he's always wanted - unless it's a gold plated webcam the rates obviously not that much!

he probably wouldn't be there long if they gave him 5 million a year - he'd be off already!

Sounds a good deal, he must have joined when the agreement he gets a pound for every listener. Must be worth around 7 million now ;)

I think probably around £350K.

Mark and Lard got £250K when they did it, and I'd think he'd be on more than them.

Still nowhere near Chris Evans though.. him and his production company got £1.7 million.

£1.7m a year?
User avatar

that presumably would be for everything though... like studio time costs and all staff working on the team plus show expenses.

Yep, Evans's show was produced by his own production company, so basically no one on the show bar the newsreaders actually worked for Radio 1 - they just worked for Chris Evans.

So the £1.7 million was for all of them.

Moyles got 300K when he started, I remember reading somewhere. But since his figures have gone up, perhaps he gets a bit more now.
