Radio 1 has maintained its steady growth with a reach of 10.24 million, the highest for two years, up on the quarter (9.96m) and up half a million on the year (9.72m).

The station's share is its best in four years at 9.2% compared with 8.4% last quarter and 8.3% last year.

When listeners aged 4+ are included reach rises to 12.45 million (12.08m last quarter and 11.53m last year). Share rises to 9.4% (8.7% last quarter, 8.5% last year).

Today on Radio 4 is just above Moyles with 6.3 million.

Johnny Yawn has the highest figures in London I believe.

Bet Chris' listeners will go up after JK and Joel take over earlies as they have a huge fanbase in Manchester don't they?

lmfo yea most were around 92 years... The only cool thing on there is Mark Radcliffe. Yet I can admit I rarley listen to him.

Radio 2 did coverage of a U2 concert just over a month ago. And someone I know on another forum went to the concert, and Bono said they were live on Radio 2. But when he played back the coverage he said it was crap. It was talked over and everything. Like Bono was saying at one point somthing important about Live8 and poverty and what he does... And they talked over that. Useless!

They lost listeners on the Chart Show so the fan base isn't that big.
