er hi, i'm having a slight problem as you can see and was wondering if there was a way to get rid of this error at all, it only happens when i try to play large files such as pak 14: 3 Amigos- 25 miles.

Can anyone help me? :)

sounds like you're... out of memory! Most definitely if it plays smaller files and not the bigger ones (such as the beds).

if you could post your PCs specifications (RAM, Processor speed etc...) i will be able to tell you exactly what the problem is.

What OS are you using? From the fact you mentioned a page file, I assume your using windoze :!:

the sound machine doesnt work on anything else.

I dont understand the appeal of linux, I tried it once and it was too complicated to get anything working properly.

I've got the sound machine running in Linux under Cedega (a kind of emulation layer). Linux isn't for everyone, it has a rather steep learning curve, but once you get it, it is a far more powerful tool, and its safer than windoze in general. Dear God I sound like a linux zealot now.

Sorry about that. Have you tried re-installing directx? It might be a problem there, although its a longshot as it wouldn't just cause errors with the larger files.

hmmm......worth a try. what it looks like to me is that it's the program itself causing the error as i check my memory and there is loads still available :/ so no idea tbh. i guess i'm just hoping someone comes in who had exactly the same problem etc :?
