This was recorded before he was part of the team. Dave was the London based button pusher for the Mark'N'Lard breakfast show. You get to hear him in the last hour.

Yeah dave joined R1 as a studio engineer (or something similar), it was only after chatting to Chris in the pub one day that they started putting loads of ideas together and, well, the rest is history...

or so the story goes.

clmfsh I f*cking love you... am very grateful.

This is great stuff (note the suprisingly high number of songs played)... Sneaker Pimps 6 Underground - what a tune, not heard that for ages!

Edit: Beautiful Ones by Suede on now. awesome!

After I have finished recording I can drop all the programs at 128kbps onto a DVD and post it to whoever wants to edit them.

It's weird hearing Chris do whole links without any input from other team members. Also very weird hearing Dave make only a brief appearance.

Its good though dont you think? Proves that Chris can cope fine (or at least could) without Dave with him.

How much effort has been put into stuff aswell? All the cheesy jingles, backing music, competitions, features etc - just goes to show how much he has changed.

one of the reasons he was so good was he was less restricted though. when he was moving to breakfast there were threads on here concerned how it would affect the show in terms of long links and the like. I don't think that is what has changed it more than all the crap competitions, events plugging and general information telling that means randomness is much rarer.

^^

I'd agree with that. The show's been making me laugh (a bit) again recently and amusing bits are usually the result of randomness.
