Looking at the sun and mirror newspapers.

The mirror did a big story on the moyles/cox swap. The feeling is that the mirror are anti moyles but this clearly isnt the case today. However the sun only really wrote a small article on the new host of the breakfast show appear to be pro moyles and rarely say a bad word about him.

The Express wrote a story on the ladette era finishing...

Moyles will do the station proud. I know have changed my mind and look forward to Jan 04.

I'll just have to get up - I never listen to coxy as she is C**P, so they gain 1 listner to breakfast and lose one for 'drivetime' (thank god moyles doesn't call it that!)

The Telegraph dedicated almost a page to it. The times had a small paragraph. I think the ratings are likely to increase a bit, they did for his current show back in 1998 I seem to remember. They should have moved him back when Zoë left, he had far less baggage then. Every one has already decided if they will listen.

Just seen that. Looks a good article actually. The Guardian one is a good read as well. As for the Daily Mail - it does feature until something like 10th page.

Hmm...interesting one. I mostly consider it a bad move. Firstly I'll only hear about an hour of it, secondly the format of the show it going to have to change...and not in a good way-less talk, less tem talk, less rants...more unfunny breakfast listener input. Chris' stlye of radio doesn't seem to suit mornings. But I hope I'm wrong and they do well as they do need a change.

I'm one of the few who actually like Sara and thinks she does a good job in the mornings. BUt i think afternoons will be awful for her. she isn't a strong enough DJ to do a three hour show.

Should have put Mills on breakfast, Sara in Whiley's slot...and then Jo can go...Chris' slot. Mark and Lard are fantastic, keep them where they are. Apart from Chris, they are the last decent presenters.

I think if we all put our hands on our hearts we know that the Breakfast show is the flagship show of Radio 1 and Moyles would have been a fool not to take the offer.

Hmmm, show recording may now become on issue, but on the other hand it may be a good reason to drag myself out of bed at the right time in the morning, as opposed to 10am.

Anyone know of any good radios that you can buy to integrate into your PC (PCI Card), or external DAB radio that goes to line-in?

Not as far as I know, but they were hinting that they could be off soon.

I'm convinced if Mark and Lard do leave this or next year then they'll go to 6Music not Radio 2

Where abouts on weekday Radio 2 would they fit them in? (with the possible exception of late nights - and if they want that gig then why not wait for peel to hang up his boots <it can't be long now> and stay on radio 1)

I'm also not sure the Radio 2 audience would quite get their humour and I think the music played on 6Music would suit them more than the stuff on Radio 2...
