Did Dave swear on the air?

Postby dreamer1978 » Mon Mar 26, 2012 11:47 am

On today's show, did Dave actually swear when they tried to prounounce fog. It sounded to me like he said the F word but I can't be sure.
IT WAS WHAT IT WAS.
"IF you don't leave now, there is no going back."
"I don't want to go back."
"Ask Me to stay"
"Stay"

It did sound like it, but it would have been inadvertent if he did.

He was trying to make it sound like he was swearing I think. If he actually said it by mistake he'd still be laughing about it now.

You certainly have sharper hearing than me. On the first play I couldn't even make it out.

He did, it was clear too. :D Definitely a freudian slip rather than deliberate though.

He did not swear, it just sounded a little like it. I like that he repeated it after Aled nearly had a heart attack!

"FUH-OH-GUH" -- the first two syllables sound a little bit like FUG OFF!

No way.Dave would never swear on the radio. He's a consumed professional. By the way does anyone know who's sitting in for him next week while he's on holiday?

I just listened to the clip. What the hell are you all on about? There was nothing even CLOSE to even accidentally swearing in there.

At precisely the moment it goes from 28 to 29 seconds. You cant hear that?! I think it is obvious myself. Aled clearly hears it, Dave knows he said it because he immediately stopped saying it and Chris' tone changes at that precise moment as well.

If you had a child who was learning to read using phonetics you would know exactly what Dave said and that there was nothing remotely wrong with it. If you want to hear something dodgy I'm sure you could manage to, but its not there really, except in your head.

You do realise nobody is accusing Dave of deliberately swearing dont you? A few of us, including Chris and Aled, clearly think he said, or came very close to saying a swear word. It is not a big deal, its nothing to get wound up about... It was just a funny incident.

He clearly DID come close to to swearing (unintentionally) or Aled wouldnt have sad what he did, Dave wouldnt have stopped dead in his tracks at that point and Moyles wouldnt have have changed his tone straight away and this thread wouldnt exist.

It DID, to quite a few of us, sound like a swear word.
