The Newsbeat story this morning about the Queen's speech at the State Opening of Parliament. "Now, it's called the 'Queen's speech', but it's actually written by the Government..." Thanks, going back to the bad old days of ultra-patronising news there.

To be fair, the patronising claimed that the Queen's speech was written by Gordon Brown when I heard it.

Yeah right. Like he wrote it.

Heh, does Newsbeat 'actually' write its own headlines or just plagiarise them from generic sources?

Doesn't it get Gordon Brown to write them? Indecipherably, in marker pen, complete with bad spelling?

I reckon it plagiarises from Newsround.

Hmm, apparently it's called Boxing Day, but you don't have to do any boxing.

It's called a water closet but it's not a wardrobe for Perrier.

We are called the United Kingdom, even though we have a Queen.

We have British Summer time, even though we don't have a summer.

Was looking forward to watching Never Mind the Buzzcocks tonight. Martin Freeman hosting, Charlie Brooker as a guest...all was going well until the mystery guest turned up. Dappy from N Dubz.

I lasted about 12 minutes before I had to switch off. I hate N Dubz with a fierce passion, and Dappy proved himself to be the massive tw*t I thought he was. He thought Martha Wainwright was Cerys Matthews....cringe.

I've been working closely with my boss on a few particular projects for the past year and just when a couple of them have become more of a challenge and I emailed her for her input (given that she's the main decision maker), she's suddenly emailed me saying that she's passing their lead onto another member of staff and that I should work with him instead of her. And I must set up a meeting so that I can give him all of the background on everything that's happened so far and what the new challenges are.

We'd been working so well together too. I know this sort of delegation happens a lot in the office world, but it's new to me and it's pissing me off. :(

Look, they was takin piss out of Mr Na Na Niiiiiii' So show some respec, innit. Lowering him like so cos hes a leg end (not) Then debating da finer points of having phat cottages and phat cars. Phil Jupitus was not amused. Thats the best lineup I've seen tho, Brooker, Jupitus, and Dappy. Enjoy him being slagged off.... or do you not get the show?
