Oh and Blackadder, plus I quite liked the Thin Blue Line, although I can see why others didn't.

I always put it on Uk Gold now but it's just not the type of programme that you'd laugh about with your mates down the pub.

Ive never known anyone admit to watching the TBL. It sucked. More so than Gimme, Gimme, Gimme and that was really bland.

I think everyone should buy the Spaced box set from somewhere, watch it then become as Simon Pegg-oid.

The thin blue line i thought was quite good too. just for the way rowan atkinson said "habib" almost up there with "bob"

like the so-called s(h)itcom, Coupling you mean? thank god for that.

can i point out Red Dwarf first came into being in the late 80s when shows like Only Fools were possibly at their prime, hence it had a lot to compete with.

well I just watched the American Office on BBC3 and I actually found it funny. The way they translated it into american style is good and the boss dude is just as funny/annoying as Brent if not more OTT... which fits american comedy perfectly.

Ah yes, that is the one that they broadcast over the internet about two weeks before the show started in America as a taster, it is the best of the series by a long, long way.

I think I'll keep watching and may be just as likely to buy the DVDs of this version as the Brit one.

you know, i hated to admit it, but the american office is funny. not as funny as the original, but funnier than most sitcoms here. it's no arrested development, but nothing is.

I wondered if I'd ever see anyone else on here who has heard of that show.

I watched it as well and found it rather amusing!

"Diversity Day -- Take 2!"

Sadly this was the equivilent version of the "Free Love Freeway" episode, and there was no US version of the song!

Anyone know what the theme tune is? or is it a piece of music especially for the office us.

seriously? have you actually seen it? arrested development is the funniest thing on fox- funnier than the simpsons, family guy, and that horrible american dad. i'm relieved that it's been renewed.

frasier's been dead for ages. or at least a year. it jumped the shark when niles and daphne hook'd up.

i try to avoid sitcoms and stick with reality tv like vh1's kept.

OK thanks, good to know. Does anyone have the cat[…]
